Godwin Emefiele, Non-Executive
Chairman
Godwin Emefiele became the Group ’s Managing Director / CEO in August 2010. Prior to this appointment, he was the Bank’s Deputy Managing Director for nine (9) years and has been on Zenith’s Management team since inception.
Mr. Emefiele has over twenty years banking experience, and holds a Bsc. and an MBA in Finance, both from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Before commencing his banking career. He lectured Finance and Insurance at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, and University of Port Harcourt, respectively. He is also an alumnus of Executive Education at Stanford University, Harvard University and Wharton Graduate Schools of Business, where he took courses in Negotiation, Leading change and strategy.
Andrew Martin,
Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director
Andrew joined Zenith UK from ABSA
Bank London Branch where, acting as General Manager, he had oversight
for wholesale treasury, trade finance and corporate banking business
lines. Previously he spent 5 years as the Head of Finance & Risk
at Daiwa Europe Bank and 5 years as a Senior Manager, Finance &
Risk at SG Warburg.
David Colgan,
Executive Director: Business Development
David joined Zenith UK from ABSA
Bank London Branch where he was Head: Corporate Banking and Structured
Trade & Commodity Finance. Previously he spent 14 years at Chase
Manhattan Bank's London Branch and 2 years in New York specializing
in Trade Finance, Credit and Corporate Banking. Prior to that, he
spent 5 years in the Treasury Departments of British Steel Corporation
and Chrysler UK.
Peter Amangbo,
Non-Executive
Peter is an Executive Director of
Zenith Bank Plc. He graduated with a B.Eng. in Electrical/Electronics
from University of Benin in 1988 and holds an MBA. He joined Zenith
Bank Plc in 1993 and has over 20 years postgraduate experience out
of which he has spent 16 years in the banking industry and 4 years
at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Quentin Aylward,
Non-Executive
Before retiring in September, 2004,
Quentin was a career banker with experience in Domestic, Corporate
Finance and International banking. Formerly Director - Financials,
HSBC Bank plc, Corporate, Investment Banking and Markets until retirement
in September 2004. He has undertaken positions in Manila, Cairo
and Hong Kong and travelled extensively in North America, Middle
East, Asia, Pacific and Africa. He has a broad range of knowledge
in credit, marketing, business development, planning, international
payments and trade.
Renier Lemmens,
Non-Executive
Having spent 10 years as a Partner
at McKinsey & Company, Renier joined GE Capital in 2002 to become
Chairman and CEO of Budapest Bank. In 2005 he joined Barclays as
Chief Operating Officer - International Retail and Commercial Banking,
resigning in 2007. Until September 2009, he was Chief Executive
Officer of Amodo Consumer Finance after which date he took up
the position of General Manager at PayPal Europe.
Charles Llewellyn,
Non-Executive
After fifteen years in the Royal
Navy, Charles pursued a career initially at Chemical Bank, undertaking
various assignments in London, the Middle East and New York, culminating
in his appointment from 1982-1985 as Senior Vice President and General
Manager of the London Branch and Nordic region. This was followed
by four years as Chief Executive of United Gulf Bank in Bahrain,
and later as CEO of the Oman Development and Investment Company
in Muscat. He subsequently moved into change management and operations
consultancy with Proudfoot plc. For twelve years he has been a Regional
Chairman for Vistage International- a mentoring and leadership development
organization.
